Setup InterNet Mail for IE 4

  1. Double click on the Outlook Express icon on the Desktop
  2. If the program has never been configured before you will be presented with a setup wizard. The following information will be required.

    3. Insert Your Name

  3. Display Name: this is the name that will be displayed when someone recieves your Email.
  4. Click Next

    5. Insert Your Email Address

  5. E-mail Address: this address will be used when people reply to your Email. Generally you will want to used your ANS address. eg. alex@ans.com.au

    6. Insert The Server Names

  6. E-mail Server Names: Leave mail server as POP3.
  7. Incoming mail server (POP3) is mail.ans.com.au
  8. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is mail.ans.com.au
  9. Click Next

    10. Insert the Friendly Name

  10. POP account name is the same as the login name.
  11. Password is the same as your login password.

    12. Select LAN

  12. Internet Mail Connection: Set to connect using a Local Area Network (LAN).
  13. Although you may not be using a LAN, this setting will look for an already established connection.
  14. Click Next
  15. Click Finish.
Dont forget that you must be connected with ANS to use the SMTP server.
