OCCUPATION: Student and
DP Employee - Cub reporter and photographer before he
messed with an interviewee that was a little more rich and powerful than he
imagined. Having been demoted to the
archive room, Jimmy now conducts his reporting and picture snap shots in
secret. As much of a
secret as Jimmy can manage.
BACKGROUND:
Jimmy Olsen always wanted to be a photographer. From playing around with exposure film and
old school cameras as a kid to learning as much as he could about digital
cameras and Photoshop as an adult, Jimmy is quiet the self-taught skilled
artist. He lived one summer in
Smallville, staying with a buddy where he met Chloe Sullivan. The two dated that summer and both lost their
virginity to one another.
He went away, back to Metropolis and while Jimmy caught the eye
and dated plenty of girls, he never really forgot about the one that got
away. Years later, after graduating from
High School, he landed a part time job as a freelance photographer at the Daily
Planet. Jimmy's been with the Planet for
over three years now and scored a part-time photography job with them after his
first year of freelance.
A junior in college at M.U., he also part times as a teacher's
aid in the art buildings where he double majors in photography and
journalism. It was in his recent return
to the building of the DP that he ran into intern Chloe Sullivan. Both were surprised to see one another at the
DP and after being his usual, persistent self, Jimmy made his way back into her
dating life.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE:
An overall happy, 'peppy' individual, Jimmy Olsen isn't afraid
of much but there are certain situations he realizes are beyond his power of
control. In those cases, he's more than
happy to 'Tom Sawyer' the matter over to someone else or higher authority. Cares deeply for those around him but
detaches himself to anyone on a story that he might potentially hurt. When asked what he thought his greatest
contribution to others was, Jimmy replied "Loyalty". The jury's still out on what to make of that
one.
