Our Home: Large, two story family home located in the foothills, 10 min. from town and beach

Where: 10 mins drive to downtown and beach, 90 miles north of Los Angeles, 250 miles south of San Francisco

When: Approximately 1 September 2000 to 8 October 2000.

Bedrooms: 5

Description: The two story home is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, about 10 minutes from the Santa Barbara downtown and 10 minutes from the beaches. The home has three bedrooms and a bath on the first level, with a fully equipped kitchen, living room and family room. The upstairs is reached by an oak spiral staircase, and has one bedroom with bath, a study with computer and television, and the large master bedroom with fireplace, beamed ceiling, and large master bathroom. Outside the home in the backyard is a balcony, leading down to a large deck with jacuzzi. The house is surrounded with fruit trees (lime, lemon, orange, tangerine and plum).

Would Suit: Ideally set up for two adults and three children, although it can easily handle more

Extras: A 1997 GMC Suburban which seats 8 is available for use. Also surfboards, two bicycles and various sports equipment.

Places to See: In lovely Santa Barbara, famous for its Mediterranean climate, we have the historic Mission, courthouse and beaches. There is also a wonderful zoo in town. We are about 1 1/2 hours north of Los Angeles and Orange Counties where Universal Studios, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are located. We are about 3 1/2 hours south of Monterey (Monterey Bay Aquarium) and San Francisco.

Activities: We have fresh and salt water fishing, whale watching cruises, swimming and surfing, golf at many beautiful courses. Hiking in the foothills is also popular as well as sailplane rides in the valley north of town.

Special Requests: No smoking and no animals. Treat the home as your home. My wife is a cleanliness fanatic.

Animals: No animals. Maggie, the Black Lab, will be boarded.

Transport: Train service in town to Los Angeles and San Diego. Bus service within walking distance at the end of the street.

Our Group: We anticipate 2-3 adults and 3 children (22, 20, and 17)

Special Request: Would like to exchange a car.

Activities & Interests: Golf and tennis

Any Animals: Will look after animals, but we plan to be away for several days at a time.
